Dynamic, energetic, and mission-focused executive director sought for Arbor Landing at Hampstead
What’s Arbor Landing at Hampstead?
Think beautiful five-star hotel meets fun and affordable senior living. That’s Arbor Landing. Here, our team is obsessed with creating the perfect balance between the independent lifestyle today’s seniors want and the care they might one day need. Bright, beautiful spaces create the perfect backdrop for engaging social activities that help create a sense of community belonging, chef-inspired meals that are as delicious as they are nutritious, and around-the-clock access to warm, compassionate caregivers. Our residents know care isn’t something we provide, it’s something we do.
We also offer specialized care for seniors who are living with the effects of Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia in our Horizons memory care neighborhood. Here, we focus on safeguarding personal dignity, encouraging independence, enhancing holistic wellness, and creating joy in the journey.
What does an executive director do?
Arbor Landing’s executive director will cast a compelling vision of an exceptional resident experience, give that vision legs by empowering his or her team to provide real leadership of their respective departments, and foster a culture of accountability that ensures we’re keeping our promises to our residents. The executive director also has ultimate responsibility for revenue performance and management of the community’s financial operations. Here’s the long and short of it: our residents deserve the best, and the buck stops with you to give it to them.
What are the minimum qualifications?
A passion for improving the lives of seniors.
The ability to lead, not manage, people.
The ability to prioritize what’s important over what’s urgent.
Demonstrable success creating, managing, and delivering on budgets.
Experience reading, analyzing, and being actionable with financial reports.
Previous success recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining top-flight talent.
An affable personality, a positive outlook on life, and a whatever-it-takes-to-get-the-job-done-right mindset.
Previous success in a long-term care or hospitality setting is preferred but not necessarily required. You must be licensed, or able to become licensed, as a North Carolina assisted living administrator.
We’re more interested in what you know and what you’ve done than where, or if, you went to college.
