"We are truly blessed to be residents of Ashe County and I write specifically about the beauty and blessing my family shared at The Villages of Ashe as we celebrated their first annual Fall Harvest Festival. Residents and family, friends and staff shared a joyful day together. Many of the staff has spent, literally, the night, tending the 'roasting of the pig', preparing the delicious side dishes, decorating the inside and outside with colors of fall, providing games and hayrides for the children and musical entertainment. In addition to a karaoke singer and a guitar and accordion duo, music was provided by an incredible steely pan band, a very professional group of young people from Ashe County High School. Their music, laughter and enthusiasm lifted spirits even on a cold, dreary day. My sisters and brother are very grateful to have our father spend his 'golden years' here in Ashe. John Cox was born in Todd. One of twelve siblings, he became a teacher and principal for over 40 years and I is hoping to celebrate his 90th birthday in January 2012 surrounded by his new 'family' of friends here at Villages of Ashe. A special thank you to all of the kind folks who provide my father, John with love and support at the Village of Ashe."
"As we head into this season of giving thanks and appreciating the things we have, I would like to thank you and your staff at Kerner Ridge for the amazing job you do taking care of my mom. Moving her out of the home 2 1/2 years ago was the hardest decision we ever made and yet looking back now, I realize that it was the best decision we ever made. The staff at Kerner Ridge have taken care of her every need and have loved her beyond what I thought was possible. To be able to visit mom and spend quality time with her and not feel burdened by her care has been a blessing to our family. So I thank you for all the dedicated employees that you have. "Dear Mark, I just wanted to drop a little note of thanks to you and your staff. Our experience with Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle has been better than we had expected. My Mother has been a resident at this community and has enjoyed the friendly neighborhood feeling created by the staff and other residents. The accommodations are spacious, comfortable and very well maintained. The care and support from everyone there provides me with peace of mind that my Mother's needs are satisfied and yet allows her to maintain her own independent life style.
