Cuts in Medicaid for seniors proposed in the NC Senate’s budget, which was passed on May 30th, 2014, could be devastating for seniors who rely on the care they receive in assisted living communities across North Carolina.
It’s urgent that members of the NC House, particularly those who sit on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services, work to find positive solutions for seniors – many of whom will simply have nowhere else to go if their funding is cut.

More Information About Ridge Care
We opened our first assisted living community in Walnut Cove, NC, back in 1997. People, we found, liked being able to get first-class care in an environment that felt more like a home than a care center. As demand grew, so did Ridge Care. In time, Ridge Care pioneered a retirement living model that provided the best in independent living coupled with available assisted services. Today, ten communities — each with its own unique personality and style — serve more than five-hundred residents from the mountains of West Virginia and North Carolina to the Carolina coast.
Remember: insist on the best care — insist on Ridge Care.
